Back from the Color Country 3 day Pioneer Ride. GETC, Clients, and former GETC horse and rider teams placed in the top ten. After attending a 4 day endurance training clinic at the GETC earlier in the month, Tennessee Lane came back from Ft. Collins to participate in this 3 day ride to put her newly acquired endurance skills into action. She rode DWA Sabella to 2 awesome finishes and decided to take her home to Ft. Collins. Congratulations and thank you, Tennessee. Sam Thornhill came down from Evanston, WY and rode DWA Sabku+// to another great finish.
A BIG Thank You to Marion Parker & her daughters for doing a great job managing this ride. A few improvements were made to the course this year, thanks to Dave Rabe, for allowing his horse explore the desert a little further out into Arizona last year.
Two dear, long time friends from Christoph’s Ski Archery days, Sue and Dick Crouch, came out on their way home to WI to visit. Sue was a former member of the US National Archery Biathlon Team and represented the USA during 3 different World Championships over seas. She used to train horses during her College days. Now, if we could only get her to race on the horses…….. It was so great to see and visit (what little we could) with them. Thank you very much Sue & Dick for the awesome dinners you so gratefully prepared and lending a helping had with chores.

NOVEMBER 2005
GETC is back from Silver State Point to Point in Jean, NV with great results.
November is the last month for competitions in the AERC calendar year. The November results are followed with keen interest by a lot of riders. It’s exciting to watch how riders checking their placing in AERC categories try and get in the last races of the year. We headed to Silver State Point to Point in Jean, NV.
Unfortunately, this is the last year this ride was held. We are glad we were able to attend this ride for the last time. We would like to send a very gracious THANK YOU, to Claire Toomey, for all her hard work and dedication for putting on this ride over Thanksgiving for years. What will we do next year?

TEVIS 2005
CONGRATULATIONS CHRISTOPH & TAJ RAI HASAN 3RD PLACE
The weekend before, Enrique and Christoph entered the prestigious Tevis race in California. Temperatures were pretty warm this year, which resulted in the low completion rate of only 44%. Christoph went on to ride Taj Rai Hasan (Husky) to a third place finish, arriving at Auburn at 11. 26 pm. Husky looked great at the finish line and completed with all A's during the final vet scoring. Unfortunately, DWA Sabella took a bad step early on, which resulted in a minor lameness and Enrique had to retire her from the race.
Dian & Ed Green did the crewing for Christoph and Enrique. Ed Green, a GETC clinic participant, flew in from Florida to help Christoph & Dian. Then Enrique stepped in to also help after his unfortunate early retirement from the race. Thank you very much Ed for such a great commitment on coming to Tevis. All 3 did an outstanding job and were a big help contributing to Husky's great finish. Without them, it would not have been possible to succeed. A BIG THANK YOU for all your hard work to, Dian, Ed & Enrique.

After riding in the front for 10 miles, the front runners missed a turn and spent several hours riding over the beautiful Wasatch Mountains. The scenery was outstanding, the trail challenging, but the placing was lost.
JULY 8, 9, 10 & 11: GETC hosted the Bryan Neubert Horsemanship Clinic in Moab. Bryan Neubert is rated as on of the top horsemanship clinicians in the country by Western Horseman. It was an honor to have him come to Moab to share his knowledge with everybody.
The turnout was amazing and all participants learned a lot about horsemanship and colt training during the 4 days.
Up coming in August:
GETC has planned to enter the Flaming Gorge 2 day 50 mile Ride in the Rock Springs, WY area.
GETC will enter 3 horses at the Arabian Nights 100 FEI ride in Oreana, Idaho. This ride will be a demonstration ride for the North American 2005 and the World Championship ride in 2006 to be held in Aachen, Germany.

Great news for a former GETC horse, DWA Hale-Bopp, ridden by Sheri Griffith. This dynamic duo rode 2 of the 3 days in Mt. Carmel and finished top ten both days. The first day was an 8th place finish and the 3rd day was a 2nd. Way to go Sheri & DWA Hale-Bopp
